Goth Maximalist City Loft
This client asked for help with designing a fresh layout and furniture choices for their loft apartment. They wanted a space that represented their personality while also making room for their reptiles and cats! Who doesn't love integrated pet decor? This space was beautifully industrial so we used that raw charm to our advantage to bring together their victorian and goth dreams!
This client’s studio loft apartment is in the heart a major creative part of their city. It has all the charm of an industrial loft, so the challenge was to help fill in their 15 foot walled space and create the maximalist haven that the client dreamed of.
This client hired me a for a full single room design- which included a mood board, layout, product selections, and 3D renderings to depict the space as it might come to be. This client wanted to purchase over time, so they have not completed the design yet and I don’t have any updated photos of the space yet due to this.

For this project, we were focusing mainly on their central living space and the small nook between their bedroom area and the living space. The goal was to incorporate the necessary pet-essentials they had into their space in a way that was aesthetically pleasing yet still functional and accessible for their fur and scaly babies.
This client hosts for friends regularly and needed a larger dining table for eating and a sofa that would allow for socializing and movie nights.

This client asked for dark grey, blacks, and deep greens. The original design was for a green wall with grey sofa, but the client fell love with Sherwin Williams Iron Ore grey paint instead, so we made that our accent wall and went with green for the sofa instead. The wall color contrasts well with the rest of the white in the apartment and helps to bring in the dark moodiness that the client is looking for. Long umber/gold curtains help add drama and victorian charm to the large industrial window and help to fill up the space in a more pleasing way. Gold metal details throughout the space tie in with the curtains and add a sense of glamour to the room, bringing in the client’s feminine characteristics and taste. Gold and black vintage frames will complete this look, filling in the final spaces on the wall with the client’s large art collection.

The Interior Define fabric Spruce matched their green armchair perfectly, so we went with this for the sofa to continue the color throughout the room. The 3D renderings depict a navy blue velvet as well to show an alternative option! This client loves thrifted and antique furniture, so we determined which pieces would best be thrifted and focused on the pieces that would need to be ordered to create the balance of old and new. A new bar height dining table and stools look brilliant beside the thrifted bar cart and dinnerware to create a smooth vision.
